WhyTrustTomHanks (Rory) spent a decade and a half thinking of lust as shallow, boring, and stupid—entirely separate, in other words, from his obsessive semi-academic enthusiasms. When he learned that lust could be interesting and deep, he promptly dropped the Russian theatre he was studying to consider vastly more universal topics, such as boners and pretty people and the immortal thrill of a good tease.
